We are excited to have you audition for the 2025-26 Spanish River High School Wind Ensemble (advanced band) and Jazz Band! Please look at the requirements below and prepare thoroughly for your audition.
What: Auditions for the Wind Ensemble (advanced band) and Jazz Band at Spanish River High School.
Who: All Band students in grades 9-12 for the 2025-26 school year, are eligible to audition. Placement into this band will be based on the quality of your audition.
Where: Auditions for the 2025-26 Wind Ensemble (advanced band) and Jazz Band will be through video audition.
When: Students auditioning for these groups will submit a video of themselves performing the required audition materials on or before Friday, May 2, for Wind Ensemble and Friday, May 9, for Jazz Band. Materials can be found at Audition Information.
Wind Ensemble Audition Materials

Prepare Ab, Eb, C, G Major scales in the All-State pattern. Staccato up and slurred down.
Prepare a 2 or 3 octave chromatic scale starting on the note of your choice. Even 8th notes, staccato up and slurred down.
Prepare your instrument's etude found in the pdf below
Record your audition and upload it to the google form below.
Recordings must be a video in one continuous take where you are visible the whole time. Please keep any pauses between portions below 10 seconds.
